If you are comfortable with the thrill of abseiling down a canyon, jumping from heights into crystal clear and cold water and scrambling down rocks with towering walls in the canyon, this thrilling adventure is for you!
To join this event you will need to do one practice session on Saturday upon arrival to Bait Bimmah to learn the basic skills required to abseil for one hour. This session is mandatory to participate in the event as abseiling experience is essential for your own safety and the group so plan to arrive early!
BOOKINGS CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE TREK AT NOON.
Your journey begins in a hair-raising jeep journey up a twisted, steep, gravel road on the side of a mountain. You park the jeep, get your harness and helmets on, and climb up a steep cliff to the beyond.
For your safety -
Children under 12 are not allowed.
We plan all activities in the canyon to finish by 12 pm due to the high risk of rain in the micro climate of the mountains. We start very early in the morning so we’re the first group, and we avoid the risk of rain.
The afternoon will be spent doing a short training session to learn how to use the ropes for the abseiling and make sure you are comfortable.
You climb back down over the cliff to find an incredible aqua blue pool and a narrow canyon to find a newly discovered wadi above the Snake Canyon- beyond the tiny village of Ha’at on the way to Bilad Syet.
This wadi is very short (just 1.5 KM) and narrow, with steep drops and deep pools and has only been discovered by the locals in the past few years. It is ONLY accessible by abseiling. There is no other way! To get to the bottom you will have to complete a minimum of 8 abseils of not less than 5 meters and few at a maximum of 50 meters.
Just 5 hours from Dubai/Abu Dhabi, 30 minutes to cross the border you are in a whole new world!
Experience the adrenaline rush of sliding, abseiling and swimming down a canyon surrounded by 100m tall walls and clear blue waters. Spend the night in the mountains, all of your meals, stay and gear are included.
