Pakistan: Nanga Parbat Base Camp and Fairy Meadows
Embark on an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking Fairy Meadows, renowned for their exquisite beauty and as the gateway to the majestic Nanga Parbat Base Camp in the foothills of the ninth highest mountain in the world. This trek will take you through some of Pakistan's most spectacular landscapes, offering a blend of thrilling adventure and serene, picturesque settings. This trek is totally suitable for casual weekend hikers at about an ‘intermediate’ difficulty level, but totally doable for people who are reasonably fit.
UAE Trekkers Founder, and Lead Guide, Amy, will be your leader on this trip. She has done the trek twice and has visited Pakistan multiple times. Call her if you have questions!
The journey begins with a thrilling jeep ride to the starting point of the trek, followed by a moderate hike that leads you through lush green meadows and pine forests, unveiling the imposing vista of Nanga Parbat’s North Face. The route to Fairy Meadows is a mesmerizing experience, with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks that surround you as you traverse the tranquil paths and even cross the glaciers leading up to the base camp.
Once at Fairy Meadows, you are treated to a scene so serene and picturesque that it seems almost surreal. The meadows themselves are a lush contrast to the ruggedness of Nanga Parbat's rocky face. Here, comfortable lodgings await, offering cozy accommodations that allow you to relax in comfort after a day’s hike. These lodgings provide a perfect blend of rustic charm and essential amenities, ensuring a restful night's sleep under the starlit sky.
From Fairy Meadows, the adventure continues towards Nanga Parbat Base Camp. This segment of the trek is slightly more challenging but rewards hikers with unparalleled views of the mountain’s dramatic features. The highlight is definitely the glacier crossing, as you hear the roar of the glacier and the river beneath you!
The base camp itself sits at an elevation of 3800 m, offering a humbling perspective of the towering peak above and the sweeping landscapes below. We will camp in a tent here for just one night.
This trek is not just a journey but a voyage through some of the most stunning visuals nature has to offer. From verdant meadows and dense forests to awe-inspiring mountain vistas, every step of this trek promises a view more picturesque than the last. Join us for this incredible adventure to Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Base Camp, where the beauty of nature meets the thrill of exploration.

Easily one of the most spectacular treks on earth- surrounded by all 3 of the world’s biggest mountain ranges: Himalayas, Hindi Kush, and the Karakourum. We will spend one night in tents in the base camp, but the rest of the trip in comfortable huts with en suite bathrooms and showers.
