The Liwa Desert Adventure Trek
By popular demand we have decided to offer one more trip this season. We have also adjusted the pricing options based on your sleeping accommodation and comfort preferences. Now everyone can enjoy the weekend at a price and comfort level that works for them!
If you have not been to Liwa yet, what are you waiting for?
Experience the Magic of the Liwa Desert, sunsets and sunrises as we hike through the dunes, safely, with the expert guidance of Amy who has been walking in these dunes since 2015 keeping trekkers safe. The hiking is definitely the highlight but it does not end there. We prepare an incredible meal for dinner and breakfast, complete with dessert, soft drinks and fresh juices, salads and appetizers. Snacks on arrival and for the hike, as well as an amazing full breakfast complete with sweet and savoury and vegetarian options everyone can enjoy upon your return from the morning hike.
Our Liwa Desert Trek Adventure has been our most popular trip until . It is an amazing opportunity to experience the amazing Liwa Desert at an affordable price. Sleep in comfort, full buffet dinner with bonfire and wake up early for a sunrise hike and a swim in the pool!
For this last trek of the season, we will further add a few hiking options to really make the most of it! Since Amy is an expert in these dunes, we have the ability to make these adjustments unlike other companies who may use less experienced and trained ‘leaders’.
Choose your Trek Level of Difficulty:
Beginner Sunset Trek: 2 hours, easy walking to reach the sunset spot. We will use a different route this time than we have for the season for anyone returning who would like to see a different trail!
Challenge Sunset Trek: 3 hours: We will start 1 hour prior to the beginner group and head on a longer route, meeting the beginner group in time for the sunset.
Beginner Sunrise Trek: 3 hours: Everyone will hike to the sunrise point and have the option to return. But there is no reason that everyone can manage an easier but longer option. You will start the hike at 5:30 am and finish your hike by 8:30 am.
Challenge Sunrise Trek: 4.5 hours: If you are up for a longer distance, get ready for a good one this time. We will cross into the Red Dunes for a much longer hike on a different route than we have taken in the past year. As long as you are ready to carry sufficient water, Amy will take you on a journey into the most remote parts of the desert where you will witness the scenery from Star Wars and Dune. You will recognize it right away! You will start at 5:30 am and finish at 10:00 am.

Beginners and active kids
Route can be adjusted depending on the group participants and fitness level. We will offer a challenging route on this trek as well for anyone who is keen, but still beginners and intermediate will be comfortable. -
Here is the Detailed Itinerary:
Saturday: Sunset Hike
3 pm Arrive at the residence, swim relax in a hammock, read a book and get to know your new friends! Enjoy some snacks and enjoy some refreshments.
5:00 - 7:00 pm: a short hike to Sunset and return after7:00 Swim and relax
7:30: Dinner9:00 bonfire
10:00: Choose your Sleeping Spot!
Sunday: Sunrise Hike
5:00 am: Wake-up depending on sunrise timings.
5:30 - 9:00 am: Sunrise hike
9:00 am Finish Hike + shower/swim
10:00 am: Breakfast
12:00 pm: Return home to liwa: -

* Overnight Accommodation in rooms of various sizes or outside. We cannot gurantee anyone a single or twin room. You will need to be comfortable sharing a room with up to 3 other people, or sleeping outside under the stars and having a shared toilet and shower.

Sneakers are fine, you will just have to dump the sand out of your shoes frequently! Or, you can go barefoot.

The trek is confirmed and this is the last time we are running this trek. If you cannot make it, you can use your credit towards another event provided you cancel within 72 hours of the event. start.

Sand Dunes BUT ITS NOT LIKE THE BEACH!
WE TAKE A Flexible route which can easily be adjusted for difficulty.
Saturday Hike: 2 hours. 4KM
Sunday’s morning: up to 10k in either the steep red dunes or the lower dunes being conscious of the sun heating the sand up by 9:00 am -
